Sleigh Rides

Enjoy a horse-drawn SLEIGH RIDE from 1-4 pm! Meet Derek O’Toole, owner of Anchor Light Farm in Braintree and his draft team, Bob & Ted, who are local favorites. Thanks to Frankenburg Agency in Randolph for sponsoring the insurance that allows us to have Anchor Light Farm at the event!

Snowtubing

Start your day on the hill tubing! Leave your sleds, skis and snowboard at home because Farr's Hill will be providing top-notch snow tubes to the public free of charge. Tubing begins at 1 pm and ends at 5 pm.

Cardboard Box Sled Race

We’re searching for the fastest and most creative box sled in Central Vermont! Contestants have the chance to win first, second and third prize in two categories: 1) Fastest; 2) Most Creative.

Sled Dogs

Meet working sled dogs based from Randolph, Vermont. These lovable dogs will be periodically doing sledding demonstrations and their owners will be teaching about the breed and how to dog sled!

Igloo Playground for Kids

Guided Trail Expeditions

R.A.S.T.A & The Gear House will be 4 guided trail expeditions available on the Ellis trails. A limited number of fat bikes and snowshoes will be available free of charge.

2 PM - 1/2 Snowshoe Tour

3 PM - 1 Hour Fat Bike Tour

3 PM - 1 Hour Tree Identification Snowshoe

4 PM - 1 Hour Snowshoe Tour

Snow Sculpture Contest

Antique Snowmobile Exhibit

If you are a snowmobile enthusiast or just like action, you'll want to watch these antique snowmobiles tear up the snow. We'll have exhibitors from the tri-town region and beyond showing off their pride and joy. 

 

Fireworks Display

Our igloo playground is especially designed for small children as an area for them to explore, use their imagination, engage in games and play with toys.

The Arts Bus and The Herald will host a snow sculpture contest at the Randolph Winterfest! It’s free to participate and no pre-registration is required. Simply show up at the event, bring your imagination and get ready to create! All experience levels are welcome. See the time schedule below:

 

Build & Sculpting 1 – 3 pm

Judging Time 3 – 4 pm

Close the day by gathering around the bonfire at 6 pm toand watch a spectacular display by Vermont’s premiere fireworks company.
