SNOW SCULPTOR EXPOSITION
1PM - 3:45PM
MEET VERMONT'S BEST SNOW SCULPTORS
Thanks to The Arts Bus, the Winterfest has the honor of welcoming national award-winning snow sculptors, Katie Runde and Tony Perham to Farr's Hill!
Perham, Runde and fellow sculpture Mugsy Logan, formed a dynamic team called the "Pour Saps" that represented the state of Vermont at the 2020 U.S. National Snow Sculpting Championship in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Competing against some of the most talented sculptors in the nation from 15 states, the Pour Saps took home the trophy for their exceptional sculpture called, "Mooon Stories." The piece is based on the childhood story of the cow jumping over the moon with a classic depiction of the man in the moon. A competition piece of this caliber can take anywhere between 30-45 hours to complete.
Perham and Runde have been commissioned by The Arts Bus to create an original piece that will be exhibited near the Treasure Hunt area at Winterfest. Bring your camera and come see this incredible new sculpture!
